About the Keller ISD JROTC Booster Club

Posted 9/4/09 - Congratulations to the new officers for the Keller ISD JROTC Booster Club! President Sherri Schaefer is serving her second term. The new Vice Presidents are Kathy Cudar and Jackie Hogan. All three officers will serve two-year terms.

The Keller ISD JROTC Booster Club supports the high school JROTC cadets from Central High School, Fossil Ridge High School, Keller High School and Timber Creek High School in a variety of ways.

For example, the club organizes fund raisers to bring in money for various items or services not subsidized by the school district or the government. This has included items like suitbags for the cadets to use when traveling to and from competitions and a portable awning to help cadets stay more comfortable at the competitions.

The club provides chaparones for various trips, including drill team competitions, rope course weekends, and more. While there, booster club members are the cheerleaders for our cadets - that moral support is important to reinforce the message that we believe in what they're doing and want them to succeed.

The booster club also serves as an informational resource to parents, funding and maintaining this website and sending information out by email to keep you parents updated and involved in your cadet's activities.

The high school JROTC program would not succeed without the involvement of the club and the parents. We need as many parents as possible to help us in a variety of ways. If you want your high school JROTC cadet to get the most from his or her involvement in the program, we hope you will help the club. Please read the Volunteering page to see how you can help!

The JROTC Booster Club board meets every month - if you would like to meet with the board to discuss an issue or just talk about the program, please use the contact form. Ultimately, we will establish a regular place and date for these meetings. Board meeting minutes will be posted online.
