Frequently Asked Questions...
Here is my second little poem, please say your thoughts about it?
Our grandfather fought in the First World War,
as a child I can picture him now
standing proudly in front of us
with uniform buttons shining so bright.
There was a picture of him in the family album,
he had a guilded spike on top of his helmet
and he wore long black leather boots.
Mike The Situation I am 97 years of age and my daughter of 74 types all my poetry onto this computer for me, I am an active person and in good spirit but I do not care one single jot if my poetry flows or does not,, my poetry is all about what happened in the past not what it should sound like to make easy reading! I am passing my memories to everyone here before it is too late, but thank you for taking such trouble to write your response which is appreciated
Answer:
I like your poem
Though when I read guilded spike on top of his helmet
First thing came to mind is was he a German
As he also wore long black leather boots
That tells me it's time I brushed up on my history
It's very enchanting reading your additional details too
God bless!
