James P. Burnett, 90, of Trafford, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, in the Forbes
Hospice, Pittsburgh. Jim was born May 6, 1921, in Trafford, the son of the
late Michael and Rose Jenets Burnett. Jim was a veteran of World War II,
serving with the Army in the 378th Infantry Regiment. He retired from
Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Trafford as a Cello Graph tester after 43 years
of service. He was a member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford, the Trafford
Senior Citizens, Alley West Senior Citizens of Monroeville, the Italian Club
and American Legion Post 331, both of Trafford, the Irwin American Legion,
AARP and he loved traveling, shopping, movies, music, gardening and canning
sweet peppers from his garden. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 65
years, Ann E. Sebest Burnett, in 2010; his son, Allan M. Burnett, in 1993; a
brother, William Burnett; and a sister, Margaret Hartland. Jim is survived by
his son, Ronald R. Burnett and wife, Diane, of Trafford; six grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Evelyn Boban, of Delmont. Family and
